4 of the Hottest Trends We Saw at the Parade of Homes

The 2015 Nashville Parade of Homes featured some of the hottest trends in home design. Those in attendance were treated to some truly amazing homes by some of the best homebuilders around, including Landmark Homes of Tennessee. It was an honor to be a part of this year’s event and thank everyone that stopped by!

Let’s take a look at the four hottest home design trends that had everyone talking this year.

Open Kitchens Are In

Many homes at this year’s event featured beautiful and spacious open kitchens. Space-maximizing open kitchens are wonderful for both entertaining large groups and more intimate gatherings.

Back In White?

White has emerged as a very popular color in home design. Providing a classic and clean look to any room, we saw plenty of white (and shades of white) used in homes this year. Some common areas we saw get the white treatment this year were walls, cabinets, and backsplashes.

Reclaimed Wood Is Going Strong

One of the biggest emerging home decorating trends of the past few years is incorporating reclaimed wood. There are plenty of reasons that reclaimed wood is so popular, but mostly because it is environmentally friendly and looks great!

Think Outside the Box

As with every edition of the Parade of Homes, we were thrilled to see home designers continue to think differently when it comes to using new materials or finding unique ways to reinvent oddly shaped areas.
