At a time when many Middle Tennessee residential builders face declining revenue and some have even gone out of business, Mount Juliet-based Landmark Homes of Tennessee has achieved a remarkable 62% increase in sales over the previous year.

In addition, the company has jumped to the top 15 of the Tennessee builders’ ranking, up from 25th just a year and a half ago.

Founded nearly two decades ago, the company is known for its quality homes, personalized customer service and attention to detail. Landmark has constructed hundreds of houses over the last few years and currently has homes ranging from $139,000-$450,000 in seven Middle Tennessee communities.

Landmark has developed a solid reputation and competitive edge in the residential home market through its flexible design philosophy, which combines customization and quality at a national builder’s price. Buyers are able to customize a floor plan, regardless of price point, through the company’s design center consultant.

The company also has developed a specialization in the growing national trend toward universal design homes, which are houses created to be livable for virtually anyone, regardless of age or physical ability.

“We have been successful by treating people the right way, with 97% of customers indicating they would recommend us,” says Lance Bethel, vice president of Landmark Homes of Tennessee.

“In addition, we satisfy multiple price points with products ranging from $100k to $500k, including patio homes and condominiums. Landmark is one of the few builders that do custom work at that price point, and our ability to customize and personalize sets us apart.”

Bethel noted that the company has maintained a very conservative growth pattern during the economic downturn. “As our competitors are retreating, we are taking the opportunity to expand,” he says.

“Unique Riverbend Park Development Services Upscale Baby-Boomer’s”

Riverbend Park, which is located along the Stones River in Murfreesboro, is the area’s only upscale, independent-living community that primarily targets the Baby Boomer market.

Riverbend town homes utilize the universal design concept, which is the design of products and environments to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design.

The concept has been especially popular among Baby Boomers seeking flexible living accommodations as they approach their retirement years.  For example, each plan is designed with an elevator so residents can navigate all floors.

Landmark Homes of Tennessee, which is developing the Riverbend Park community, recently changed the town homes’ design to provide more options for buyers.  The second level now has three floor options:  a loft with a bathroom; two bedrooms; or a large, unfinished storage area for those on a budget.  In addition, the second level provides movable interior walls.

Homes with aging-in-place amenities are a growing trend, and incorporating adaptable features into new home construction is less expensive—and less challenging—than converting an existing home for accessibility later on.

Riverbend Park is located at 1625 Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro.  For more information about the community call (877) 711-1071 or visit http://www.riverbendpark.info

I thought this would make an interesting real estate trend story with a local angle and wanted to bring it to your attention.  If you need more information or would like to schedule an interview, my contact information is listed below.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

“Berkshire Ridge in Mt. Juliet Provides Affordable Luxury-5 Homes Sold Already!”

Berkshire Ridge in Mt. Juliet recently opened, and already Landmark Homes of Tennessee has sold five home sites there.  Landmark, which has headquarters in Mt. Juliet, is one of two builders in the community.

The company plans to build 50 homes in its first phase, with ten models ranging from 2,300 to 3,600 square feet and prices from $250,000-325,000.

Berkshire Ridge’s executive-style homes have oversized lots and many amenities as standard features, such as granite counter tops, hardwood floors, brick on all four sides, side-entry garages and oversized lots.  The community itself will have a pool, walking trails and a commons area.  Its convenient location near the freeway is another plus for buyers.

One of the most popular aspects of Landmark homes is the flexibility they offer buyers to personalize and customize a floor plan through the company’s design-center consultant.

Landmark’s first model, the Biscayne, is now open at Berkshire Ridge (please see attached photo).  This four-bedroom home has approximately 2,800 square feet and costs $275,000, with only $10,000 in upgrades in the model.

“Sales Up Fifty-One Percent in a Recession…Local Builder Continues to Experience Success!”

At a time when many Middle Tennessee residential builders face declining revenue, Mount Juliet-based Landmark Homes of Tennessee has achieved a remarkable 51% increase in sales over the previous year.

Founded nearly two decades ago, the company is known for its quality homes, personalized customer service and attention to detail.  Landmark has constructed hundreds of houses over the last few years and currently has homes ranging from $139,000-$450,000 in seven Middle Tennessee communities, including one that recently opened in Wilson County.

Landmark has built a solid reputation and competitive edge in the residential home market through its flexible design philosophy, which combines customization and quality at a national builder’s price.  Buyers are able to customize a floor plan, regardless of price point, through the company’s design center consultant.

Landmark also has developed a specialization in the growing national trend toward universal design homes, which are houses created to be livable for virtually anyone, regardless of age or physical ability.

Gary Wisniewski, president of Landmark Homes of Tennessee, moved to Tennessee from Buffalo, New York, and started the company in 1990 after working in customer service for a corporate builder.  Originally founded as a new home construction company, Landmark has expanded to include commercial construction, remodeling, home expansion and subdivision development.

I wanted to bring Landmark Homes of Tennessee to your attention as I think its 51% increase in this depressed real estate market would make a good story for Nashville Business Journal.  If you need additional information or would like to arrange an interview with Mr. Wisniewski, my contact information is listed below.  Thank you for your consideration.
